The secretariat of Communication of the Presidency informs that Jair Bolsonaro will not prevent the merger of Embraer with Boeing.
In a statement, Secom says that “the final proposal preserves national sovereignty and interests.” “In the face of this, the power of veto (Golden Share) will not be exercised to the business.”
Last week, the president insinuated that he could revise the agreement with Boeing, making the Brazilian company’s shares plumper.

“In a meeting held today with the EXMO. Mr. President Jair Bolsonaro, with the ministers of Defense, GSI, Foreign affairs, Science and Technology, innovations and communications; and representatives of the Ministry of Economics and Commandos of the Navy, Army and aeronautics were presented the terms of the negotiations between EMBRAER (privatized since 1994) and BOEING.
