The minister said that he considered cowardice the fact that Jair Bolsonaro did not have the courage to dismiss him. Bolsonaro signaled that he wants to exonerate the minister and offered him a position on the board of Itaipu Binacional, although the possibility is prohibited by the state law. The offer was promptly refused by Bebianno. He considered it unacceptable to assume a position at Itaipu, despite the three times higher salary – just over R $1 million per year. To friends, he said he did not come to the government to make money and that he will be loyal until the last minute he remains minister.

In recent days, politicians and military have tried to intercede in favor of Bebianno. Concerned with the high temperature of the crisis, the president’s assistants note, in turn, that Bebianno can still create many problems for the government, if the resignation is not reversed, because it would be what is called in the political jargon of “Bomber man”.

In the conversations, Bebianno has warned that it does not fall alone, because both the political wing and the military wing of the government are determined to remove Carlos Bolsonaro from the presidency. In recent days, the councilman has been more measured in social networks, sharing institutional messages from government and Rio affairs, such as the sale of beverage in carnival blocks.
