Kareem Hunt will be eight off-field games on account of two incidents that violate the league’s personal conduct policy
The NFL announced this Friday (15) that Kareem Hunt, currently at the Cleveland Browns, was suspended for eight games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. The duration of the suspension is related to two distinct incidents.
The first date of February last year, when a video of the American football player was released pushing and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel. Shortly after the video was released, the Kansa City Chiefs, the team in which the running back played at the time, decided to terminate the contract with the sportsman.
Four months later, the player saw himself again involved in an altercation. This time in an Ohio resort. “CBS” reported that Kareem Hunt would have punched a man, although no complaint was filed and the athlete was not detained.
Hunt, who before the termination of his contract with the Chiefs was considered one of the best running backs of the NFL, was then hired by the Cleveland Browns. The player will lose half of the regular phase and will abdicate about 300,000 dollars, almost half of his yearly salary. In a statement, Kareem Hunt apologized for his past actions and said he hopes to regain the trust of the league, the Browns and his teammates.
