The new year has already come full of attractions that will pack the summer rehearsal season of Pelourinho. The program is supported by the secretariat of Culture of the state of Bahia, through the Center for Popular and Identitary Cultures (CCPI) and the Institute of Artistic and Cultural Heritage (IPAC).
The 2019 agenda begins on Thursday (3) with the first edition of the summer trials of Jau, which brings as a guest the singer Saulo. The meeting takes place at 20h at the Largo Tereza Batista. Tickets from R $60 (half/Runway – 1st lot), for sale at Sympla. Also at the same time at Largo Quincas Berro D’Água who presents is Narciszinho and the afros, tickets at a single price R $10.00.
Two free events guarantee the animation of the sixth (4). The first is the “summer essay” of the band M do Samba, which presents at 20h at Largo Pedro Archanjo. The event “reunion of Friends” brings the show of Julio & Jonathan, also at 20h in Largo Quincas Berro D’Água.
Still on Friday, but at the Art square, singer Denny Denan starts his summer meetings at 19h. Denny promises to stir audiences with career successes and unpublished songs like ‘ Let Spin rotate ‘ and ‘ Angel Lindo ‘. The first lot tickets cost the runway R $40 (stocking) and the box R $80 (sock)
The schedule of Saturday (6) begins with essays of the project “the Pelô that Toca and Dança”, open to the public at 9 a.m., at Largo Tereza Batista. At night happens the second edition of the Week of the event “Meeting of Friends” This time with the show of Roger Ramos, the party is free, at 20h in Largo Quincas Berro d’água
And also on Saturday night the group Attoxxa brings the first edition of the Year of the party “Ta Batenu” and promises to warm up the Largo Tereza Batista, from 20h. Tickets r $40.00 and R $20.00. Another event this Saturday is the “Saturday of the 5th” under the command of Banda Samba tractor, which in the event brings several guests. One-price ticket R $5.00.
On Sunday (6) at 14h at the Largo Tereza Batista happens the first summer rehearsal of the Block Olodum, in this edition the guest is the singer Lucas Di Fiori. Tickets to R $50.00. At 16h in Largo Pedro Archanjo happens the event “Samba Reggae in the vein” under the command of singer and songwriter Pierre Onassis, who divides the stage with Tonho Materia, Dão, Master Jackson and various artists. Tickets at a single price R $15.00.
The “stylishly sophisticated” Afro Cortejo opens the first Monday (7) of the year with another summer rehearsal. Cortejo presents at 20h in Largo Quincas Berro D’Água. Tickets r $60.00 and R $30.00.
The singer and songwriter Gerônimo Santana presents on Tuesday (8) The project “The payer of promise”, and together with the band Monte Serrat the artist brings as guests the band Sons of Jorge, the singer Viva Varjão and a presentation of the Clown Biancorino, the Artist Alê Casali. The show is at 20h, at Largo Pedro Archanjo, with tickets to R $30.00 and R $15.00.
The Block Afro Muzenza is the attraction that animates this Wednesday (09), at the Largo Tereza Batista, bringing in the repertoire mixing the sound of reggae music with the beats of Afro music, always with lyrics that speak of the resistance and the legacy of Bob Marley. The rehearsal starts at 20h, with tickets to R $20.00.
Ending well the week also in summer rehearsal climate, the block Malê Debalê, continues in commemoration of the 40 years of existence, performs the show “Malê + 40”, with the participation of Jau, Ara Ketu, Black Adam, Jammil, Samba tractor and opening show of Carla Gentil. The show is at 20h at Largo Quincas Berro D’Água. Tickets r $60.00 and R $30.00.
